SCR Elektroniks has developed a PC-controlled test setup for conducting Routine Tests and High Voltage (HV) Tests on Plug Mounted RCCBs (PRCDs) in compliance with IEC 61009-1 (Annexure D).
The system is designed for production line testing, ensuring that every RCCB undergoes automatic verification once loaded into the test fixture. It combines precision measurement, operator prompts, and automated reporting to guarantee product reliability and compliance

  • Leakage Current Ranges 10 mA, 30 mA, 50 mA, 300 mA
  • Current Adjustment: 10 mA – 300 mA (Coarse via switches, Fine via variable voltage)
  • HV Test Voltage: 0 – 2.5 kV AC @ 50 mA
  • Trip Current Settings: 5, 10, 25, 50 mA (manual adjustment)
  • Time Measurement: Displayed on PC screen
  • Fully PC-Controlled sequence and timing

Testing Sequence

  1. Routine Test :
    • Sensitivity Test : To verify correct tripping behavior at different residual currents
    • Speed of Operation Test : Measures Trip Time at  I∆n. Trip time recorded must be within permissible limits.
    • Performance Test – Push Button 
    •                                     Reset Button Test.
  2. HV Test : Validates insulation & withstand capability
