SCR make Ring Wave Generator is designed for testing of Residual Current Circuit Breakers (RCCB) according to IS 12640 (Part 1) / IEC 61008-1 Clause No. 9.19.1
The generator comprises an electronically regulated high-voltage power supply, an energy storage capacitor, a high-voltage/ high-current switch, a pulse forming network and a Single-Board Computer with Touchscreen to measure, control and display the waveform.

CDN (Coupling and Decoupling Network) (Filter) for testing setup for ELCB compatible to ring wave generator (Single Phase).

Salient Features

  • The High-voltage pulse generator produces a Ring Wave 0.5 μs / 100 kHz.
  • The open circuit output peak voltage can be preset continuously from 0.5 – 6.5 kV.
  • A built-in current sensor allows monitoring of the output current waveform.
  • The unit is built with a Single-Board Computer with TFT screen & soft-keys.
  • Connectivity to the PC directly for generating and printing reports.
  • Output for Oscilloscope is provided on BNC.
  • Housed in extruded Aluminium Sections for better aesthetics.
