PC-Based Safety Test Panel for Air Fryer

SCR Elektroniks has developed PC-based safety test panel for Air Fryer is designed for evaluating the electrical safety and performance of air fryers as per IS 302-1 compliance. The system integrates automated test sequencing, real-time PC monitoring, and datalogging capabilities. It ensures consistent, accurate, and repeatable testing across five critical safety parameters.

Input Supply: Single Phase 230V AC, 50Hz, with MCB protection
Earth Contact Resistance Test: 25A ±5% at 230V AC; Fail if >0.2 Ohms
High Voltage Test: 0–2kV adjustable (typically 1.5kV); Tripping current settable via PC
Insulation Resistance Test: 500V DC; Range: 0–19.99 MΩ; Fail if <2 MΩ
Leakage Current Test: Range: 0–1.999mA; Fail if >0.210mA; Auto polarity reversal
Performance Test: Voltage: 0–270V AC; Current: 0–8.00A AC; Wattage: 0–1999W AC; Frequency: 40–60Hz
PC Configuration: Dell/HP OR Equivalent make PC. Windows OS will be with single home language. (M.S. Office License will be provided at extra cost if required).
Software: LabVIEW-based datalogging and control interface

Earth Contact Resistance Test:
 25A current passed through earth path
 Resistance measured and displayed on PC
 Test Fail if resistance exceeds 0.2 Ohms
High Voltage Test :
 Voltage ramped up to 1.5kV (adjustable)
 Tripping current monitored
 If the Current exceeds set value, the output will be disconnected with "Fault" indication
Insulation Resistance Test :
 500V DC source with 0 to 19.99 meg Ohms range. Indication and Limit Setting on PC Screen.
 When the insulation resistance detected is less than 2 mega Ohm the "failure" indication will be provided.
Leakage Current Test :
 Rated voltage applied to the Air Fryer
 Earth leakage monitored with polarity reversal
 The current flowing through the Earth path is monitored and will be displayed on the PC screen. If it exceeds 0.210mA, the "Fail" indication will be given
 The test will be carried out along with Performance Test.
Performance Test :
 Variable voltage applied (0–270V AC)
 Current, wattage, and frequency monitored on PC screen

Note : All tests are executed sequentially. If any test fails, the sequence is terminated automatically.

PLC-Based Multi-Station Test Setup for Air Fryer

The SCR make PLC-Based Multi-Station Test Setup for Air fryer is a customizable solution designed for testing of air fryer units. The system integrates precision voltage control, real-time data acquisition, and automated PASS/FAIL evaluation based on user-defined parameters. Built with modular architecture and precision instrumentation, this system supports up to 12 simultaneous test stations and can be tailored to meet specific customer requirements.

Once user scans the barcode & press test on, PLC can start the test time & record the VAW data from MFM meters. PLC can run the test sequence with temperature measurement. 12 no’s of Output sockets are available to easy connect & disconnect the air fryer.

The panel is provided with fiber casters wheels for easy movement. The design is such that after removing front & back side covers, entire panel can be serviced easily during maintenance.

Multi-Station Architecture:
Up to 12 independent test stations, each with dedicated electrical and thermal monitoring. Station count can be customized as per customer needs.
AC Variable Voltage Sources:
Three-phase controlled sources (200V–270V @ 50A) with AVR circuits to maintain voltage within ±1% accuracy. Each source supports up to 4 stations (6 kW per source).
Dual Mode Voltage Adjustment:
Manual control via switches and automatic control via potmeter for flexible operation.
Digital Multifunction Meters:
Each station equipped with following meters displaying: Voltage: 0–270V AC
Current: 0–12.5A AC
Wattage: 0–3000W AC
PLC + HMI Integration:
Centralized control and data acquisition via PLC, with a HMI interface for setting test limits and viewing PASS/FAIL results.
Temperature Datalogging System:
24 isolated channels + 1 ambient channel using K-type thermocouples (0–250°C). Sensor length and type can be customized.
SCADA Compatibility:
Integrated SCADA system for real-time monitoring, report generation, and traceability.
Barcode Integration:
Honeywell barcode scanner included for product identification and test initiation.

Load Capacity : 6 KW unit in one Source means, 4 nos. Air fryers on each phase

Lamp Indications for TEST ON, PASS & FAIL.

Scan & Load Scan the product barcode and place the air fryer at a designated station.
Connect & Insert Plug into the output socket, insert the pan and temperature sensor into the Air Fryer
Initiate Test Press “Test ON” to apply the set voltage (e.g., 230V). Multifunction meter displays live electrical parameters.
Data Acquisition PLC records voltage, current, wattage, and temperature for each station.
Simultaneous Testing All stations here (12 stations) can be loaded and operate independently and concurrently.
Result Evaluation If any unit exceeds preset limits of current, wattage or temperature the product will be marked as FAIL on the HMI.
